Meeting with Your Child's School Team

It is important to help everyone know and understand the gifts of your child.

Start by talking with your child’s teacher and working on a plan. This may look like extra help from the teacher or having a meeting with the school team to discuss what other supports your child may need. For example...

  • a reading intervention program
  • more movement breaks throughout the day such as:
    • land based learning opportunities
    • access to fidget tools
    • flexible seating

If possible, have your child attend the meeting and share their thoughts and ideas as well, their voice is so important!
